MOGA Sign-Up Rules |

To all MOGA members, There have been many difficulties with members who are not signing up for play (by Sunday, 12 noon) or who sign up and neglect to cancel their MOGA tee times. This has been causing severe problems for the pairings committee and as a results the board has enacted the following: Effective 22 May, 2011, the following rules will go into effect and will be enforced: 1) Any member who fails to register for play (either via the telephone or internet) on the Chelsea system (by Sunday, 12 noon) will not be able to play in that week's tournament. However, if a member was not able to sign up for play, they may standby for an opening provided that there is a spot vacant in their handicap position and that they come to the pro shop at least 30 minutes prior to tee time. 2) Members should cancel their MOGA reservations by Tuesday, 8:00 AM, using the cancellation line 480 895-1738. If a member calls in to the Pro Shop at least one hour prior to his booked tee time, there will be no penalty, and he will be eligible to play the following week. 3) If a member signs up, but does not cancel and then "No-Shows", he will not be eligible to play the following week. The Oakwood pro shop will not have any authority to override this policy. Following these procedures will avoid disappointing players and problems with the scheduling teams.
